Hiking Trails
Take a short walk down the Blue River Rec Path to the the Dillon Ranger District headquarters to learn about Summit County’s 450 miles of trails, two wilderness areas, and 62 peaks over 13,000 feet in elevation.
The Ptarmigan Trail that starts a few miles north of Après Shore is a local’s favorite.

Fishing
The Blue River that flows by Après Shores is renowned for gold-medal fly fishing with a premier fly fishing shop and guide service, Cutthroat Anglers, within walking distance.
If you prefer fishing on the open water, setting sail on Lake Dillon from the Dillon Marina may be for you.

Biking Trails
Summit County is a cyclist’s dream. The rec path behind Après Shores connects to a series of trails for backcountry, road and mountain bikes. The trail around Lake Dillon and the ride down from Vail Pass are “can’t miss” activities for residents and visitors.
